I've had a blast with this game, I read a lot of reviews, some good some not so good, but decided to give it a shot anyway. I had a Fishing game on my old computer and yes it was old.... but so am I :) I've never played on a PS2 thing either so yes I lost a lot of fish in the beginning, and had a hard time casting, and driving the boat and... well I'm sure you get what I'm saying... But I've gotten a lot better rarely loose a fish and can cast like a beast.. still run into stuff but not as much :) The game itself is pretty good I have to find the correct lure, lure colors, and lure size for the fish I'm trying to catch, and I've caught some really small fish as well as some MONSTERS! The game gives me a lot of options on how to set up the controls, as well as the better I get the more toys I earn boats, lures, rods and all that stuff. It has a different play options either tournament or free fishing which the more I play the more I learn...so basically you have to fish both to free up items and the monster fish. So, you have to fish free fishing and complete the task there so that you can free up items you'll need in tournaments and then win tournaments to unlock the Monster Fish in free fishing. So all in all a lot of things to keep the game fun and from getting repetitive or boring... The one thing about the game that I don't like is that you don't get full access to the lakes or rivers, so even though it's a large area they give you to fish in it's still restrictive in that aspect. So if you're thinking about buying this one, I don't think that you'll be disappointed I fish a little everyday and have to make myself put it down... so gear up and have fun!
